2. How does TextRMail compare with other products |
Most mobile operators will offer a certain number of free texts per month. You do lose these if you don’t use them unlike TextRMail where you can carry them forward. A quote from the Vodafone website "You can store your contact numbers, and you can send a text to five different people at once."
TextRMail is not aimed at this free text market. It is aimed at managing the communication in an easy to use manner for a business, club, school or other organisation.
Most of the operators offer a Text Alert service where you can be notified of news and other events. The text alert service that can be used through TextRMail can notify your customers about appointments in places like a Beauticians or Dentists.
In addition to the ease of texting some of the other key benefits include
- Facility to choose whether to send texts or emails
- A Mobile interface that can be used on an iPhone or other smartphone
- Membership manager facility to monitor membership renewals and text reminders to outstanding members.

3. Can I send texts to other countries |
Yes you can send texts to most countries in the world. There is an increased charge for sending to other countries. You can see the increased charges here. |

5. How do I purchase texts |
There are three ways you can buy credits or add more credits to your account.
1: Online You can purchase texts online through PayPal using your credit card.
2: By Post You can send a cheque to SalesPulse, 17 Hebron Business Park, Hebron Road, Kilkenny City. Once the cheque is received we will update your balance immediately.
3: By Phone You can phone us with a Purchase Order number and we will set you up with an account.

6. Can I see what texts have been sent |
Yes, there is a full history available of all texts sent. This can be useful if you have set up other users to be allowed send texts through the system.You click on maintenance and Reports. |

7. Is there a cost to send emails |
No. However there is a monthly limit to the number of emails that can be sent through TextRMail. It is intended as a way of communicating to your customers or members rather than a way of mass mailings. You can send out monthly news letters to your customers or members. |

8. Can I customise my text |
You can insert the firstname and surname of the person in the text so each person that receives the text will have it personalised for them. You can also type in the subject for each text so that when it is received it will display "Text from SalesPulse" if you type Salespulse in the heading of the text. |

9. Can I customise my email |
You can insert the firstname and surname of the person in the email so each person that receives the text will have it personalised for them. You can also type in the subject for each email so that when it is received it will display "From SalesPulse" if you type Salespulse in the heading of the text. There is also a text editor for the email so that you can change the size, type & colour of the text in the email. |

10. How do I manage membership |
When you add a new Group there is the option to “Include all contacts”. You can add set up two groups. The first is Membership due 2010 and you select the "Include all Contacts" option. The second would be Member 2010.
You can then send text or email reminders to the "Members due 2010" group and as each member joins you remove them from this group and add them to Members 2010 group.
This can be used for several purposes.
- Create a group to send reminders to all students to pay their school bill.
- Create a group to invite all customers to an open day
- Create a group to ask all suppliers to submit their quotes
With the history facility you have a record of who you sent the texts to.

11. What is a User |
A User is someone who is set up with a username and password to access the system. When you first register you are the Administrator which is a Super User with full rights to set up groups, contacts and other users. |

12. How do I set up a User |
You click on Maintenance, select Users and click the Add New User button. You enter the User Details and click the group or groups that you want to have this user to have access to. For example you might add a teacher to a school system and let them text or email their own class only. You might add a Team Manager into a club system and let them text or email just their own team. You might add a manager into a business system and allow them to text or email their colleagues in their department only. |

15. What is a Group |
A Group is a set of contacts that you can send texts or emails to in bulk. For example a school class, Under 14 Football team, Key Customers etc. |

19. What is a Contact |
A Contact is a person that you want to add to your TextRMail system so that you can send them texts or emails. A contact will have different titles in different organisations. It will be a pupil in a school, a member in a club, an employee or customer in a business. |

20. How do I set up a Contact |
You click on Maintenance, select Contacts and click the Add New Contact button. You enter the Contact Details and select what group or groups you want them to be a member of. |

22. How do I find a contact |
You click on Maintenance, Contacts and enter the persons name or part of their name and click search. You can also enter a Mobile phone number in the search box to allow you to search by mobile phone number. Finally you can click on a letter of the alphabet and that will display the contacts whose surname begins with that letter. |

25. Is there a mobile version of TextRMail available |
Yes, if you view TextRMail from a mobile device you will be redirected to a pared down version of the website. This has a login screen and the communication screen. You would do any maintenance from the full version of the website while on a PC or laptop. |

26. When are texts and emails sent |
Texts are queued for sending as soon as you click the Send Text button. You will see the progress on screen as they are being sent. For example Sending 10 of 100, Sending 20 of 100 etc. |

27. Do I know who has received the text |
No, at the moment there is not a response sent back from the recipient as this would result in an increased cost either for you in the sending or for the recipient to send back the acknowledgement. You can check the reporting to see what texts have been sent through the system.
Can I see how many texts a particular User has sent. Yes you can look up reporting and select a user and click on the Summary button to see how many texts have been sent by them. |

28. Can I send automated texts for appointments |
Not at the moment but this feature is being developed where you will be able to set up appointments for contacts. You will be able to set a date and time for the next time a contact has an appointment or is due to be contacted. You will then be able to select who you want to text or email by selecting a date range. For example - Send a text to all contacts who have an appointment tomorrow informing them of their date and time for appointment. |
